You Otter Vote Today

Here in Ontario we have a municipal election today.  In Toronto we have a very poor selection of candidates. As I can't stand the idea of having a redneck clown represent our city for the next 3 years, I'm going to hold my nose and vote for Furious George Smitherman.

Vote! Vote! Vote! I was getting all riled up last week with Calgary's civic election. We actually broke city records with our eligible voter turnout. I was proud, even if I did vote for the Red Neck. :)

I'm voting today - in the States. Absentee vote. So that I can hector, uh, persuade others on the phone that day.

And we can't always have the candidate of our choice (as you correctly state). I have held my noise many a time. When I come up against the "I'm not voting & that's my vote" - I admit my commitment to non-violence is tested. Because I'd like to roll up a newspaper & whoop'em. See? I can be very American. xo

I did read amourissma's post & meant to leave a comment of yay for you guys. I will do so as soon as I put out some fires I set over here...why do I say anything, Hazel? I'm just going to post photographs until the end of the year. Maybe.

Diane Thanks for these. The voter turn-out in my neighbourhood was high. Line-ups around the block. Yeah and I think it's a 4-year-term now, not 3. Last time I looked it was 2.
