Polly Jackson

The amazing art teacher and painter Polly Jackson took a shine to a picture I had posted of my living room. After she asked my permission to paint it, she provided me with a photo of the finished work. I just loved it and bought it from her. It arrived today. How exciting.

Here's a few pictures.

I came over looking for your "Fire" post, was about to be disappointed when I spotted it below. But by then I had noticed what was going on in this one, and had to stop here to tell you how much I like it--the painting and what you've done with it in this post, juxtaposing it with the actual subject. That's exciting to me as a painter and art lover; to look back and forth between them seems to make her interpretive expression more noticeable than it might be otherwise.

Great fun! Thank you!

I love the piece, and the original view that inspired it. Your interior looks so cool and serene. I would have bought it, too.

Wow...that's so nice, having a part of your house as a painting...and it looks really good too.

This is a really superb blog. The images alone could have kept me here the for the rest of the day, had I had it available. Excellent.
