Dolly Dingle's Cousin

When I was about 12 I found an old magazine in our garage - A Pictorial Review from 1927. I had to rescue it from the rubbish as my mother didn't feel 1927 was very old, just as I don't think 1962 is really that long ago.

Anyway, I still have the magazine and it's disintegrating. I scanned a few pages from it. Here's a paper doll called Dolly Dingle's Cousin. Dolly herself, can be found in abundance on the web.

Please feel free to enlarge the image and print it or even give her a name.

I haven't done my taxes yet. I promise something more interesting when I'm done.

She is adorable! I think we should call her Dotty Dingle. :^)

I remember, as a child in the 60's, finding coins dating waaaaaay back to the 40's. Ha! Now I think of 1960 as just a moment ago....

I used to love those cut out dolls when I was little!

never had much time for "real" 3D dolls, but I did like these so much

Brian, somehow I would doubt it. I think the "older" girls would find these appealing.

I, too, loved paper dolls. Before the era of 'tags' my mother used to cut up catalogues and line up all the 'children' in her class. She never became a teacher, though.

I used to love paper dolls. Ooh I can just remember folding back those little tabs on tiny shoulders. Gives me a chill of delight!

I don't think 1962 is that long ago - or 1961 for that matter.

Tax time...gotta love it! We do ours online.

I remember playing with paper dolls like that. Amazing how little it takes to keep a kid entertained!
