What a cozy little spot, your patio! The little fish bowl is such a lovely patio idea. It's been so incredibly hot and humid down here that we haven't enjoyed ours nearly as much as usual. We'll have to make up for it this fall, with woolly socks on the patio!
HI Hazel..thanks for stopping by my little blog (sad by comparison to yours)..bravo to you for going to Paris alone ..you will love it...but you will walk and walk so if bad feet are a worry you really need good walking shoes...Land's end has a good black pair that don't scream running shoe but give you support
skirts?..not my bag ..plain dark jeans and black pants..and scarves..lots of scarves...you will feel undressed without them..you will need a converter for recharger...buy them anywhere..drug stores here sell them..shoppers or pharm plus..or Black's has them
as for your first day..it will be morning but feel later to you..so check into your hotel..then go out for a walk to get your bearings...don't try and see it all in one day bien sur....get a good nights sleep and the next day go for it...I suggest a Paris Visit card for the metro and museums...you can get so many things ahead on line...have a great trip...I cant' wait for my return visit in a couple of weeks...

Hi Hazel:
Is this your lovely home?
Nice to see you back online......now, are you going to paint a rooster? You still have until 28th.
:-D

OK, Polly, I'll try to paint a rooster!!!
Willow, Yes - it's been soooo hot here. And we have wasps. June and half of July we ate out back but it's just been too humid and buggy this summer.
What a beautiful spot!
You must feel so grateful sitting amongst the greenery, and eating that delicious food! I love the dishes.
Lovely house and garden! :)
I'm not a patio-person because of the wasps. Even with deterrents they're still buzzing around and I'm petrified of them!
I might be sorely tempted with that guac and hummus though.
Kat
Very purty tagine, Pup
It's like being in England. Beautiful.
I was coveting that tagine myself!
Today was the perfect day to enjoy being on a patio, great temperature and not too muggy. Looks like you have the perfect spot to enjoy it, too!

By 'the' patio, do you mean 'your' patio? I'm ready to move in!
Nothing quite as serene as private space, surrounded by gorgeous flowers and trees, with good food, wine and books. What more could a person ask for?
