Nervous Lemons

I should probably 'fess up and say that this painting of mine is greatly influenced by a painting by Colin Wally titled Lemons and Limes.

Love it!

Normally people think of a still life as something Cezanne did to make money between his real work. But a still life can be a great painting!

oh lovely! I like the stripes in there and the colours

maybe the lemons can see the gin arriving...

Hmmmmmm, I sure don't think of a still life "that Cezanne did to make money" and I don't think most people normally think that......
A still life is what it is, plain and simple, lovely and compelling, interesting and colorful. still and quiet.

This piece is amazing. I love your sense of style and color, Hazel. I think this one is my favorite of yours, so far.

Hi Hazel,
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I went to the Opera Atelier costume sale last night and I can attest to the absence of lemons! All the costumes are glorious.
