100 years ago, before Thinsulate and Velcro, this is how I would have dressed to go tramping in High Park, Toronto's greenspace (in this case white) - a 10 minute walk from my house.
I LOVE the idea of women wearing sensible, sporty clothing that didn't stop them breathing or moving without male assistance. Those women look healthy, fit young ladies :)
I spent a lot of time in High Park as a little girl. My parents used to take me to feed the ducks at Grenadier Pond, visit the animals at the H.P. Zoo and I can still remember the feel of that cement wading pool under my feet, or the cool water from the stone fountain. I loved High Park. I envy your living so close to enjoy it all the time. This is a great photo!
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! This photo makes me shiver! Love this new red look to your blog! It's so festive! I hope your holiday season is splendid! Happy New Year, Hazel! I hope it's your best year yet!
