Natasha Richardson

When I was thinking of which Van Morrison song to post for St. Patrick's Day, I came across a very touching video of Liam Neeson reciting Morrison's song Coney Island. He's driving in a convertible and looking at Natasha as he says,

I look at the side of your face as the sunlight comes

Streaming through the window in the autumn sunshine

And all the time going to Coney Island I'm thinking,

Wouldn't it be great if it was like this all the time

So sad.

The picture above is of Natasha Richardson when she played Violet Hunter in the Conan Doyle story, The Copper Beeches.

This was nice. And btw, I have that whole Sherlock Holmes series with Jeremy Brett living on my hard drive; I'll have to watch The Copper Beeches tonight.

I can't even imagine what Liam and Michael and Daniel are going through right now.

Right. I had forgotten she was in this. What a charming photograph of the three of them - and only one remaining. It is indeed sad.

I feel terribly sad over this tragedy. I thought she did a wonderful job in The White Countess. I'm such a huge fan of the Redgrave family of actors.

Beautiful, and the loss of Natasha is a hard one to the world of wonderfully genuine acting... and not least to the family that adored her.

Take care, and thank you for posting this.

A beautiful life indeed. I so enjoyed her on the stage...have not seen the video & can't on this computer. But I will look when I've a chance elsewhere. I forgot, as well, that she played Violet. Very, very sad.
