I Have Always Depended on the Kindness of Strangers....

Sallymandy at The Blue Kimono bestowed the Excessively Diverting Blog Award upon me today. The Blue Kimono is a wonderful site dedicated to being fun and forty-something. I take away a new thought, tip or idea every time I visit her well-developed blog. It's so very nice of her to recognize me. Thank you Sallymandy!

In turn I nominate Guilia of Bricolage and Guilia Geranium. She is Sense and Sensibility combined. She has the curiosity of someone on "The Grand Tour".

The aim of the award is to acknowledge writing excellence in the spirit of Jane Austen's genius in amusing and delighting readers with her irony, humour, wit and talent for keen observation. Recipients will uphold the highest standards in the art of sparkling banter, witty repartee and gentle reprove.

Guilia, please claim your award. You may post the badge, list the name of the person who nominated you and link to their blog. Then you many nominate others that you feel meet or exceed the standards set forth. But if you are award-weary or have already won this award before, please just enjoy the honour!!!

Dearest Hazel-Pup,

Award-weary? Received it before? If I didn't know better, I'd say you've been into the Harp or Jameson this evening. Seriously, you're so very kind & I am not worthy, but honored.

I have spent the better part of late afternoon/evening trying to "unlock," or rather, "enable" comments on Giulia G. blog. It is not working, even with the expert advice of Corine at Hidden in France.

Therefore, I acknowledge when to give in & up (for now) & shall retire to reflect upon what I should do with this excessive power you've handed over & how to wield it wisely. Ahem.

BTW, thank you ever so much for your Van Morrison post. It reminded me to take out some music & play it. And to at least do something on GG for the occasion. So I took your idea (sorry) & posted a cut & paste-y thing with a YouTube Irish song. I did credit you however...I'm not without some shame.

'til tomorrow (I hope there's more Renoir!)

xo, Susan

Thank you for those nice remarks Hazel. (Hazel-Pup's a pretty cute nickname, no?) I loved the mystery post about Renoir. That was fun.

Have a great Wednesday!

Many thanks to Sally Mandy for introducing me to your wonderful blog. And many congratulations on a well-deserved award. I come from Winchester in England where Jane Austen spent some of her life and is buried in its cathedral, so I feel a special affinity.

Congratulations to you on the award! It is always fun to drop by and see whats up at The Clever Pup!
I have so much catching up to do as I've been down with the flu. Amazing how often people post! I think it will take me about eight hours just to visit everyone! See you next time. Hope you're doing something fun!
