“When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.”
great twain quote! funny how our view of our fathers (parents) changes as we get older. Esp when we have kids ourselves. may you and yours have a great fathers day.
Hi! CleverPup! Short and exactly to the point! Happy Father's Day to you, and yours!...Oh! yes, the Twain quote is a nice touch! Thanks, for sharing! DeeDee ;-D

I love that quote so much. And Mister Peanut? one of my all-time favorite cultural icons!
I always say that the older I got, the smarter my father became.

One of my father's favorite quotes. He said it often. How right Twain was.
Ain't it the truth? I think my IQ doubled when my daughter hit 18, and her father's did, as well.
We have a teenager that age! You can imagine how stupid my husband and I are at the moment.
Yes, we have a boy who's 15. We are incredibly stupid at the moment. I can't be seen with him in public or be near the door when he leaves.
His brain will come back soon I hope.
