Bella Giulia

Hie thee to Giulia Geranium. Giulia is a lovely little red-headed cat and her editor curates two lovely, well-researched blogs, Giulia Geranium and Bricolage. She's always busy posting gorgeous, meaningful photos that appeal to her wannabe Italian sensibilites, including Ruth Orkin's photo above of the American Girl in Italy.

GG's editor has a big heart and is sensitive to the injustice throughout the world. She needs a stroke now and then too.

Dearest Mme. H-Pup

I just happened to see this when I opened blogger to post pix thru week. How very kind of you (which is no surprise). GG is beaming. Well, she is in my mind...she's actually passed out on the desk, "supervising." xo

This photo by Ruth Orkin hangs in Vin Santo, a small, family owned Italian restaurant in Middleton Wisconsin. I always seat myself so I can view it while I'm there and I'm always grateful the owner chose to hang it. Next time I will tell her.

Hello CP,
I saw your comment in GERMAN on another blog, and I had to fly over here to say "WOW" to you. German seems more difficult that Mandarin...really!

BTW, I've always loved that American Girl in Italy photo...so scandalous! oooolalala!

Hi! Just came to say hello and to thank you for stopping by my blog the other day. I've been poking around yours & love the paintings, the article on Berthe Morisot--even Jimi Hendrix's pants! Will definitely be back for more.

Cagney, I assure you it's 50% Google Translate. I studied at the Goethe Institut for 2 terms. My husband for 7. It IS very hard. We depend very heavily on subtitles.
