Audrey and Chanel

My dad used to buy me Chanel No. 5 every Christmas when I was a teen. Here's the Jean-Pierre Jeunet-directed Chanel No. 5 commercial.

oooooh! oooooh! Like Nino in the Haunted House, he gives me goosebumps as he caresses her neck. I've got to get me some.

  1. Hi:) I just read a whole artice about the Montreal premiere yesterday here in Montreal. Bit of gossip...apparently the actress refused to wear Chanel for the event (she wore Miu Miu) apparently to make a statement as Chanel used to do to stand out from the rest.. And as a bHere's the linkk if you're interested:

  2. I wore Chanel as a teen and a young woman into my 30's. When I smell it on someone else, I am flooded with memories of the years I wore it. I would like to smell it right now for that special rush of memories. Also "Windsong" does the same thing to me!

  3. Ah, I always wanted to wear it well. Alas, it does not suit me...it's just as well since my mother has always worn it. What I have been able to do is collect some incarnations of the iconic bottle.

For the past ten years I've been an Annick Goutal girl. (Gardenia & L'eau Hadrien.) Both are perilously close to bottom of bottles. Last week, I was musing on justification for new purchase of above (at least one) & lashing self for selfishness. I think I've sorted that one out (to my advantage:)

Thanks for the reminder about the film, Hazel. And to Ms. Lucy for the Montreal link. And to Ima--I just "heard" the Windsong music/refrain from seeing your comment.

    xoxo

my husband always purchased No 5 for me. we both love it. last time we took a trip however, I tried "Chance" by Chanel and it is lovely too. But nothing beats No 5.

  8. Number 5 is my favourite perfume; I have 1 or 2 others including Shalimar but nothing is like Number 5!
