so glad you posted this, I saw one of arcimboldo's paintings in a museum somewhere and yesterday I was racking my brain trying to remember both the artist and where it was I saw the painting - the louvre? the national museum of art in washington, here in cleveland.....well, still don't know but now at least I have the name of the artist....they are so wild!
p.s. knowing the name now I know where I've encountered his work....both at the louvre and at the wadsworth atheneum in hartford! thanks - inquiring minds need to know....
I discovered Arcimboldo's work when I was a teenager, and I've been fascinated with his odd portraits ever since. His work was a major influence on Salvador Dali, you know.
This is a nice LOL addition to Theme "Vegetable." Nice.
