Because experts disagree whether or not it is Vincent van Gogh, it suggests there is no other reliable photo of his face _anywhere_, against which a comparison could be made. I know he wasn't a well man, but did he not allow a photograph even with his brother?

ReplyDeleteGood point. You know Hels, I am completely against this being Van Gogh because the sitter was in Canada. But no photo, ever???
